Raphael Cormack is an author, Assistant Professor of Arabic at Durham University, researcher of Middle Eastern Culture and Language, and a traveler.
In this episode, we discuss the West´s fascination for the East - and vice versa -, the possibility of true connection between different cultures, his fabulous books - "Midnight in Cairo" and "Holy Men of the Electromagnetic Age" -, the eternal fascination of the Golden Era in Egypt, and what happens after we die.
This is one of my favorite episodes. One I loved to record and revise. It´s real, packed with meaningful information and questions, and deeply human.
