In this live and recorded workshop, our guest artist will teach you an original quintessentially Egyptian Shaabi Dance Choreography.

👉In this workshop, your teacher, Ahmed Refaat, will:

1️⃣. Break his original Shaabi Dance Choreography down, explaining the technique contained in it.

2️⃣. Explain the application of Musicality (musical interpretation).

3️⃣. And tell you all about the cultural context behind the movements, steps, and postures in the choreography.

At the end of the workshop, you´ll have learned from a true Egyptian Dance Master and fallen in love with Shaabi Dance.

👉About our guest Teacher, Ahmed Refaat

Ahmed Refaat is a world-renowned Egyptian master folkloric dancer, choreographer, and instructor with over 35 years of dedicated experience in preserving and sharing authentic Egyptian dance traditions.

He´s the founder and artistic director of the Egyptian Dance & Arts Academy. His expertise spans across traditional folklore styles and classical oriental dance forms.

He´s traveled the world teaching, choreographing, and creating pioneering performances.

In 2024, he became the Egyptian Folkloric Teacher at the prestigious Cairo Opera House.

His style is unique and packed with tradition, knowledge, and experience.
