Here´s a question many dancers have shared with me. A question I, sometimes, ask myself.
It´s not easy to survive and thrive in this world. Not easy to make it as a dancer, not easy to make it as a person.
If you ask me, succeeding as a human being is the greatest victory of all. The real meaning of success.
Should I quit or persist?
I always go back to the life force and the passion that made me fall in love with Egyptian Dance. When in doubt, I go back to the base, the beginning, the essential.
Then, right there where it all started, I remember why I have to persist as an oriental dancer, swimming against the tide, proving haters wrong, living my purpose and mission.

As a human being, I reconnect to my future self. On my death bed, what will I want to feel and what will I wish to have done?
As dancers and human beings,
We break.
We fall.
We hurt.
We get disappointed.
We live and learn.
But, most of all, we can rest and dance in the dark when we feel like quitting; only to come back stronger, wiser, and more on fire than ever.
We may fall but we don´t have to remain on the floor. Get up, resist, persist, and never - ever - stop dancing.
This dance needs you. This life is your life to live to the fullest.
