👉How this Workshop is organized:
1. The Workshop happens on Saturday and Sunday, the 17th & the 18th of January, from 2 to 3.30 PM Lisbon/London local time.
2. You can join the live workshop or check the replays/recordings of both live classes.
👉What you´ll find in this Workshop:
💃🌙We´ll play with self-expression and spontaneous creation in Oriental Dance.
💃🌙We´ll start with a choreographed dance combination and we´ll use it to play with different emotions. Little by little, each dancer will explore her/his own movements and emotions (knowing she can always resort back to the provided choreographed dance combination, if she feels lost and needs a safety net).
💃🌙We´ll work on musical interpretation, studying what each musical instrument asks from the dancer in terms of movement. We´ll play with those different musical instruments and discover what movements and emotions they suggest in each one of us.
💃🌙We´ll operate in duos and trios - collaboration of dancers in the workshop - invoking traditional rituals and initiations in Egyptian Culture, where spontaneous creation will always be present. We´ll play with three main feminine initiation phases: the passage from childhood to adolescence, marriage, and the birth of the first child.
💃🌙This workshop is interactive, built for feminine communion, and creatively expansive.
💃🌙Be ready to get out of your comfort zone, rediscover what it means to dance like a woman and amongst women, and what the concept of female sorority actually means. Also, fasten your hip belt because there´s going to be a lot of fun involved.
